Important Holiday Deadlines

the deadline for ordering holiday has been extended to December 12th. deadlines for prints via standard shipping is December 12th, 3-day shipping is December 15th, 2-day shipping is December 17th and overnight delivery is December 18th.

for all Elissa Queen Photography clients photographed before 2009:

orders placed and paid-in-full directly with Elissa Queen Photography after December 15th will begin processing on January 11th.

everything feels crisp and shiny and new to me this time of year. how fitting then, to photograph this week-old bundle. all cuddly and nuzzly and perfectly new. a warm and precious welcome for the fall.

i tend to save bridals for after the ceremony so no surprises are spoiled. one of my exceptionally beautiful brides - inside and out!

okay, i know the summer's gotten away from me and i've totally neglected the blog. i've been busy taking care of lots of fantastic brides, photographing gorgeous weddings, fun families and even managed a tiny vacation that's all but forgotten by now ;)

i've been looking forward to photographing these two for so long now! i photographed the bride-to-be's sister when she was gettng married a couple of years ago and fell in love with the entire family.

These guys have so much fun, are quick to laugh and are (obviously) so adorable together!

i knew before starting this blog that it would be a challenge for me to keep up.

i procrastinated for years with every excuse, and started so ridiculously slowly, trying hard not to let anyone down by leaving them out.

i know those sneak peeks before proofing galleries are available online are so exciting and so addictive,

and so it is with my most sincere apologies to the newlyweds, brides and families who have been neglected in my sporadic posting that i offer up a glimpse of some new work.

Katie Alice is an august bride who i've been so excited to photograph - of course, who wouldn't be right? yes, she's gorgeous (runs in her family - you'll see). she's also so sweet and fun to talk to, and always enthusiastic. just a pleasure to be around! we got together on the windiest day of the year with the main objective of an engagement announcement photo. mom and sister in tow (and everyone in from out of town) we trekked around the park for a good part of the afternoon until we finally gave in to mother nature and headed out to find a break from the wind.

it was all so very worthwhile! thanks guys, for such a fun afternoon - i can't wait to get together again!

i'm so excited to be kicking off the wedding season! i have the greatest brides this year, and am looking forward to each and every wedding and portrait i have scheduled. Martha and i decided to take advantage of the beautiful early-spring weather and get an early start to her scheduled portrait session. it was soooo worth it, don't you think!

she was even under the weather - you could never tell. what a great sport (and a beautiful bride)!

this time of year is so important to me and to my business. not only is it a time to learn and to grow - there are many conferences and major conventions during wedding off-season - it's also a time for me to rest and re-energize for the upcoming season. i try to focus on new ideas and creative ways to see things - brush up on new techniques and skills, work on new samples and branding and just as importantly, take some time to have some fun!!!

had a fabulously snowy time in Vail and managed to come home in one piece! here's to the season!

my new year's baby!

on the second day of the new year i photographed this beautiful two-and-a-half week old. he was an early Christmas present for one of my favorite couples who were married in april of 07. we actually discussed baby pics as their wedding album was finished, and i was so excited to hear that he'd arrived early. congratulations guys!!! i think this is a fantastic start for 2009!
